Aggregate budgets by referencing one item in a list - Slice numbers. SUM IF? HLOOKUP?

Hi all - I am trying to work on budgets and have 3 separate identified areas for each budget dollar figure. I am trying to understand how I pull from the columns to separate out. You will see this in the attached sheet. Help! Is it an H-Lookup? Or a SUM IF THEN? a Macro?

(numbers have been altered obviously and not real but just looking at the formulas or how to build)

    Hi,

It's not immediately obvious (at least to me) exactly what you're getting at. Would you explain which cells you are trying to aggregate and what the results should - manually add them and tell us which cells they are.

    Thanks - see attached.

So example in the PW tab - you will see the yellow highlights. I am trying to aggregate the totals and by month for the three drop down items (committed, identified not signed, go-get) for the totals and the months. So for example...
    - If the column C has the word "Committed" - then take the number from cell E (example) and add.

Kind of like a VLOOKUP but with a SUM function.

    Thanks!

I changed some of your formulae and filled in for others.

This is an alternate formula that can be used in AG13 and filled down. This is an array formula....confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.
