Counting multiple cells over multiple worksheets

I have a workbook with multiple worksheets. One worksheet for each month.
On each worksheet i have a list of initials in column A. In column B, is either 'In' or 'out'.

I need to count which initial did how many ins or outs.

I know I can use the filters, but i was thinking of something more along the lines of a drop down box that you select your initial and another where you select 'In' or 'Out', then it gives you a number.

Where are the results to go? Would it be possible for you to re-post your workbook with a table set up ready to house these results?

Also, if you could include one or two manually-calculated expected results when you do so then we will know exactly what we are aiming for.

It has really given me some ideas.

XOR LX: As requested I have given an example results table in the attached file.

ganeshkumar: The pivot table looks like a good solution but i have zero experience with them. A little play around will remedy that situation though

Sambo Kid: The formula solution would be easy to get my head round, but after seeing how youve done it, i dont think its an option in my situation

Here is something that might lead to where you want to end up. It totals across all the worksheets the various combinations selected by drop down combination. This uses a countif on each worksheet then sums them on a summary worksheet.
