Excel doesn't save shared workbook on nas

    Question Excel doesn't save shared workbook on nas

    Hello everyone,

    I have a problem with the excel's shared workbook,

    on a NetApp NAS I have more shared folders, and finding the problem on only two of these

    every time I try to change the .xlsx file gives me the following error, as described in this kb: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291204,
    unfortunately I have not solved the problem with this guide.

    can someone help me?

    PS: the environment is under the domain,

    this problem was found by all users, users use excel 2010.

    Unshare the workbook while renaming and sharing it again after completing it

    thanks for the answer;

    but i can't unshare the workbook because excel give me the same error

    Using F12 save the workbook in your local drive and unshare the workbook and reshare it and publish it in the original location

    Thanks for the answer,

    but unfortunately the error still remaining.

    The problem there is only with shared workbook, and only in this two shared folder that are located in the same nas;

    in the other shared folder the workbook works well.

    Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'Network path'. You may receive this error message for the following reasons:

    The file name or path does not exist.
    The file that you are trying to open is being used by another program. Close the document in the other program, and try again.
    The name of the workbook that you are trying to save is the same as the name of another document that is read-only. Try saving the workbook with a different name.

    The above one is the actual root cause, I believe.

    Please check with your Technology/Networking Team about the File Rights Issue.
