Sort through list of links to find broken ones

Hello fellow Excellians,

I have a little bit of a stumper. I have a spread of links to photos that I uploaded to my server, I'm finding out that the list of links I have on Excel differs from the photos in ways. So I need a way to sort through all (28,000) links and find links that are broken so I can delete them. Can anybody save me a full days work by throwing out some suggestions on how to go about doing this? Clicking on 28,000 links is not something I had planned for this week :p

Unfortunately they are not hyperlinks that refer to documents on my network, they are on the web. I don't think that macro will work for me. Thank you for the response.
