Unable to select and remove checkboxes

I have a spreadsheet that shows one checked checkbox and one unchecked checkbox, but I am unable to select either one of them and delete them. Attached is an example of what I'm talking about, but is not the actual spreadsheet. I want to be able to select these boxes and remove them without having to remove any cells (columns or rows), but excel just won't allow me to. Looking for someone who can figure this out, it's driving me crazy.test.xls

Note: checkboxes are in cells B1 and B2

    Thank you

I opened your example sheet (in Excel 2010) but don't see any checkboxes. B1 & B2 are empty.
Left-clicking checkboxes just checks & unchecks them, but usually they can be selected with a right-click. Then, either left click & press delete on your keyboard, or cut without subsequently pasting them.

Assuming you're using Excel 2010, under Home, on the right most part, click on Find & Select (binocular icon) and choose Select Objects. Highlight the area where the objects are, when selected hit Delete.

jcanlas, This is why you're not seeing it... I brought it up on my work computer and I can't see it using 2010, but on my Microsoft Surface tablet and my home machine using 2007 Those boxes are visible.

Re: Unable to select and remove checkboxes

jcanlas.... I tried the select objects and this is what the problem was... The box was resized to as small as it would get, which in 2010 will allow you to size until it isn't visible any longer, but 2007 only allows that object to be sized so far, but won't allow you to select it because the box that surrounds it is too small... thanks for your help!!
