Conditional Formatting to selected cells only

Hello,

Pardon me for asking a question to which has already been answered but I have searched and cannot find it.

I am trying to find a quick way to apply conditional formatting to ONLY the cells that I have selected in a filtered column.

I have Column A filtered to what I want and now wish to apply the conditional formatting to Column B to highlight all dates before NOW().

When I do this, it is also applying the formatting to the cells that have been filtered out. I would just suck it up and do it manually an individually select each cell by holding CTRL, but I have 1200 cells to apply this on.

Select column B values
Press Ctrl+G -> special -> visible cells only
Apply your conditional formatting.

PS. there could be some limits on the number of separate areas, which can be used in conditional formatting.

Thanks Kaper. This worked!

However, I am now having an issue. The Conditional Formatting goes haywire when I start sorting and etc my columns.
