Need to change color on spreadsheet for due date and passed due date

    Hi,

I am new in this forum as well as in Excel world also. So please reply my answer as you are replying to an absolute beginner. I am new in section and working on spread sheet. I have columns with registry date and due date. I need to add colour. if due date has been passed it should change into row, when it is near it should be amber. Please help me ASAP. I am bit struggling. Went through few solutions provided on net but they are not working. I have fixed one problem using this forum so my expectations are very positive. Thanks in advance

    Attach a Workbook
(please do not post pictures or links to worksheets)
    • Click Advanced (next to quick post),
    • Scroll down until you see "Manage Attachments",
    • Click that then select "add files" (top right corner).
    • Click "Select Files" find your file, click "open" click "upload"
    • Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
    • Click "Done" at bottom right to close the Attachment Manager.
    • Click "Submit Reply"

This is not the answer that I am looking for. You did not understand my question.

Naheed, the feature you will need to use is called Conditional Formatting. However, the way you achieve what you're after will depend on the way your data is structured, which is why we need an example of your spreadsheet.

That was not meant as an answer. I told you to attach a workbook and I gave you instructions on how to do that. No one wants to create their own "version" of an unseen workbook guessing as to unknown layout and data formats just to try to help you.

    Rule #12:
Don't quote whole posts -- it's just clutter. If you are responding to a post out of sequence, limit quoted content to a few relevant lines that makes clear to whom and what you are responding.
