I am having trouble with how to perform this task in Excel. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
We have a subscription to a popular website that helps us make forms/surveys and it also stores the data/responses for each form. We can see the results through the website in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. One particular form is a survey. In this survey, we have a rating scale. SA=Strongly Agree, A=Agree, D=Disagree, SD=Strongly disagree, N/A=Not Applicable. What I would like to do is to take each column (each column is a question; there are up to 68 questions; there are multiple surveys with different numbers of questions), and copy it to a tab in Excel. Then I want to create a pie graph using that data so it can be easily understood. I would like to put the graph in the same tab as its respective question/data. Here is an example of questions asked:
I believe my child’s school provides a caring and supportive environment. SA A D SD
I believe my child feels safe and secure at school. SA A D SD
I believe my child’s school provides academically challenging content. SA A D SD
I have attached a screen shot of some of sample data.
So, each question is a column in the results we got back. Each respondent is a row with their respective answers.
I guess I am asking how I say to Excel, “For each question, I want to move that column (question) to a tab within the spreadsheet, and I want you to count up all of the SAs, As, Ds, SDs, and N/As and make a pie chart.”
Not all of the questions will be used in making charts as the first seven questions are background characteristics of the person being surveyed.
Is this possible with Excel?
