    Dear All,

I am facing the issue of special character while converting excel file into CSV. The word "Héjiāhuān" in CSV getting replaced as "Héji?hu?n", In CSV file i want the name as "Héjiāhuān" only. I really appreciate the time and effort to solve this issue

I think that this problem is related to the language pack installed as the default for Office on your computer. Those accented characters are being translated into something completely different than what you want. The é is a French character that is included in the character codes on my computer but the ā is not included but is translated as Char(63) which is a ? . The Insert Symbol indicates that it is Latin character 0101 and ASCII 32 (which appears to be unassigned).

Try changing the default language for Office on your computer.

I don't know what language the ā belongs to but for sure it isn't in the ASCII table. Where did the file originate? That should give you a clue.
