Todays date help

I have a wage calculator I am trying to create, and the items you can input are as follows:

-Insert wage per hour, How many hours you work a day, How many days you work per week, A Target and the Start Date for the target

The output will have:

-The Wage per week you get and how long it will take for you to get to your target.

I need help with a function where you can type yes in a cell that says insert todays date into the start date cell. I also need it to stay the date you first typed yes on.

Is there a way to do this? If so can someone please help me
