create from selection problems

Hello. I have a bunch of titles in one column. In the column next to it I would like to create named cells based off of these titles. I thought you could do that with create from selection but it is giving me an error. I am selecting the empty cells and saying create from left column but it says the selection is not valid.

You need to include the cells with the names in, as well as the empty cells, in your selection, so that Excel knows what name to give to each of those blank cells.
