Date issue - Report date appears as Jan 8, 2015 - but I want DD/MM/YYYY

    Hi all,

    Got the above issue,

Date in report appears as Jan 8, 2015 non date format, but I want DD/MM/YYY to allow me to use excel to count days and perform other tasks.

I have tried a few things I know, and also have a method that should get me there, but its a bit long winded and hoped for something a little more swift!

    thanks in advance.

    Hi
One way :Try Data ribbon - Text to columns - Check " delimited" - Next - Next - Use MDY as Column date format - Finish - Format as needed

Thanks for your reply, but I have tried all most things already. The date Jan 8, 2015 isn't down as a date format in the spreadsheet, so date format changes don't seem to be working.....?

Is there a specific format that this needs to be in at the start?

It was working great but now on another spread sheet it wont work?????
