Hi,

I don't know if anyone can help with the info I'm allowed to provide. I'm trying to pull client data from a the SEM platform we use to manage paid search. The web query reports I am having trouble with has between 15,000 and 55,000 rows (platform suggests keeping it to less than 750,000 rows, we are well below).

I have Excel 2007 and set it up via the web query wizard. The progress bar moves fast, until the end. Then, it sticks with a "waiting for" status right at the end. I have let it sit there just to see if it would ever finish, for as long as 3 hours, but it never finishes.

These reports contain 3 different sections you can import. I can see the first two (a description and a summary total), but the actual rows of data never populate, nor do I see the yellow boxes/arrows to choose a section.

One time the status changed to "done", but the preview was the same. I was able to hit "import" at that point and it imported all sections, but again this was after an extremely long time and has only happened once. The good news it refreshed quickly once it's actually in the spreadsheet.

I'm not sure if it's my computer because on smaller files (a few thousand rows) imports in seconds. I work remotely and use my own computer, but I contacted the SEM platform and the tech person said they were having the same issue, but their engineers said the reports were being created as they should so it was likely an Excel issue.

Someone at my company's office tried it (also 2007) and the same issue occurred, but that person tried it on Office 365 and it loaded quickly.

Any ideas? I know it's tough without being able to load a file, but it's client information and I can't share. However, I just created a separate report for a separate client with twice as many rows and still have the same issue.

Thanks.
