    Really quick question

    How do I copy the following formula down without incrementing the 2nd cell reference in each bracket;

    =SUM((R5*D38)+(S5*D39)+(T5*D40))

    Currently it copies down like this;

    =SUM((R6*D39)+(S6*D40)+(T5*D41))

    And I would like it to copy down like this;

    =SUM((R6*D38)+(S6*D39)+(T6*D40))

    Thanks if you can help.

    Re: Really quick question

    gtudor, the rule for cells locking is that if you put a dollar sign ($) in front of the different parts it locks in those sections (and you can use f4 to toggle between those)
    so $d$38 locks in cell d38, $d38 locks in column D but not cell 38, d$38 locks in row 38 but not the column.
    Hope that helps for future reference.

    Oh and BTW, your post title probably wasn't to forum rule #1 FYI.
