Is it possible to change formulas based on drop down menu options? If so, where can I get information about doing so? Thanks!

Sure, use the CHOOSE function with the 'output' of the drop down menu.
Let's say you have the drop down selection value in A1. You would then do something like
=CHOOSE(A1,SUM(B1:B5), PRODUCT(B1:B5), STDEV(D1:D8))

If I helped with your issue, I'd appreciate a rep bump (hit the '*' icon to the bottom left of this post).
I'm not so excel savvy. Lol I'm trying though. Currently we have a spreadsheet that captures payments, charges, and discounts. Using the choose formula, would I be able to selct something and it change the way the data calculates, then select a different option and the formula adjusts for that?
Yes. Note that in my example, those SUM, PRODUCT, and STDEV equations were just for example. You would put in your own equations. Also, you are not limited to 3 choices. I forget the max amount, but hopefully it is within your needs. Just search for CHOOSE in the help file and you should see a few examples.
Thank you so much for your help!
