How to Hyperlink with Excel not needing a following file.

I'm trying to hyperlink a PDF file (usually single page on each hyperlink). I know that you must have the supporting PDF file available for the Excel hyperlink to open up.
What I have is a Spreadsheet that has hyperlinks to my PDF files. how ever I would like to be able to send to my client a single excel file that still has the hyperlink available. We've even tried sending all the PDF files on a thumb drive with the excel spreadsheet and trying to open them up on a different computer but I believe the hyperlink's "address" to the PDF file isn't exactly the same.
Is there any way I can do this, not having to send multiple PDF files along with the excel spreadsheet?
I've seen this work on the BlueBeam program, but I'm needing a excel spreadsheet.
    Thanks for any help,
    Derrick

Have you tried a relative link?

So insteqad of "X:\Excel\PDFs\YourPDF.pdf", try "./Excel/PDFs/YourPDF.pdf". I'm on my mobile so can't test it right now, but i'm pretty sure it should work the same as a web page, the prefix "." tells the link to look at the root directory of the current file, not the current directory.

no I'm not to familiar with saving it that way. What I'm doing is a general hyperlink just right clicking on the cell and going down to add hyperlink. so when ever I move my pdf file on my computer or what ever, its not reading the link for the hyperlink.
I'm just saving the scanned 8.5x11 document as the name the scanner generated for it to save as.

Try using the hyperlink function as I stated previously and see if it works:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

How would u get the "relative path" to each file? Will this eliminate having to send the pdf file along with Excelspreadsheet file?
    Thanks
