You can right click and summarize data by Average.. But that will give you average of all the data aswell..

But probably i am looking for a single column in the table that shows average of grand total and the rest data should remain the same..

Yes, that is not a problem, an extra row can be added.

If your Pivot is starting from the 3rd Row, try this on cell B2 -

Hey Friend, Many thanks, the formula works perfectly,
However, i require something like it should be a part of pivot table. so that i can sort the data according to the average. using external formulas i am unable to use the sort function.
If you want it to be a Part of the Pivot Table, all values will have to be averaged.. Like, you cant have the values as Sum and the Grand Total as Average..
That's to the best of my knowledge I am saying. If there is a workaround, I am not aware of it..
