    concatenation

hi guys - I have used some helper columns (but not very effectively) to get what I want from a data set which I have received.

Col I of the attached shows what I really want... could someone show me a more efficient method please as i'm embarrassed by this!! ? many thanks

    Re: concatenation

I am entirely unsure of what exactly you want. It seems that Column I is simply a date range from April 1 thru May 5th - with no basis or regard for what is in the day, month or year columns.

    Perhaps I am missing something?

    Re: concatenation

Hi Moo... thanks for your response and for taking the time to look at my issue. Most kind.

If you see my helper cols, e, f and g, and then the concatenation of e, f and g in col h. This is what i am trying to achieve but in the format of col I.

Basically... it the first two characters of col a, col b as a number and the last two characters of col c. to make a date formatted as dd/mm/yy

    Is that clear?

    Many thanks again for looking

Something odd in rows 33 & 35. I assume that these are a mistake (I reformatted A as General to make viewing easier). is this getting close??
