How to make formatting consistent accross all of the worksheets: mimicing PPT slides

    Hi all,

I would like to ask you for help in this case. I'm having about 20 sheets when on each of them, there are some calculations and also printable area in the format of PowerPoint slide.

I would need to synchronize the formatting of the Excel prepared sheets and "Slides" on them so that they all look consistent when I will print them.

The issue is, that I don't know how to measure the size of the printable area. Further, I need some level of irregularity in rows/columns sizes because the printable area includes tables with varying text headings.

    Thank you for any suggestion!

Thank you for the answer! However, the point here is how to make the width and height constant in Excel accross all of the sheets.

The thing is, that I don't really like the idea of adjusting it manually, meaning measuring the width of every column in the worksheet to make the sum equal accorss all of sheets.

Or, it would be at least very handy if I knew how to measure the width and height of the selected area

    Thanks!

There is probably simpler way, but this is how I do it:

Format one sheet as you want it to appear.

Select the entire sheet, by pressing Ctrl+A (depending on location of active cell, you may need to press Ctrl+A twice, as it will select only the table after first press)

    Copy.

Go to other sheet, where you want to apply the same format.

    Again select the entire sheet.

Right click, Paste Special; select radio-button "Formats", and click OK. Entire formatting from the first sheet will be applied, including row heights and column widths.

Now, to have it properly applied in printout, you also need to have the same print layout options in all pages - margins, page scaling, the same print area, etc.; but I'm not aware of way to copy those settings between the sheets. In that case, I would do it in one sheet, and then copy that sheet sufficient number of times, and tyhen copy the data from other sheets to those formatted sheets.

Thank you for this idea! It works great for couple of sheets having the very same formatting and the very same column width.

But, for some other sheet, having integrated tables with different column widths, it's not applicable.

I would simply need some ruler to measure, how large the printed area is and adjust some of the columns accordingly. Just to make the printed area of the same size for all printed sheets

great idea, hasn't crossed my mind!

The height parameter works great, but the width is measuring only the very first column though

Would you know, how to adjust the code? If not, thank you anyway!
