    Sorting through metadata HELP

I've got a large excel spreadsheet filled with metadata (a large number of songs from the British Museum archives). I'm encompassing many difficulties. An example:

The original file has a song duration of 00:02:45, on the spreadsheet its written as 01091900.
For the same song, the original date is 1977-01. On the spreadsheet it is written as 11/09/4670 but presented at sep-70.

I'm wondering whether someone would be willing to help me on this, or if my best course of action is to continue to post these little problems here on the forum as I go along.

    Thank you.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    Thank you.

I've attached a spreadsheet. That which I've corrected is in red. The year and duration are of interest in that example. The whole spreadsheet is a big mess, with many other problems of sorts encountered.

actually, it is 01091900 00:00:00 so I have no idea where you/they get 2 mins 45 sec from?

For the same song, the original date is 1977-01. On the spreadsheet it is written as 11/09/4670 but presented at sep-70
This is formatted as mmm-yy but if you format it as dd-mmm-yy it shows 11-Sep-70. Looks like excel is taking the year as 1970, and ignoring the "46" bit. Again, based on whjat is in that cell, I have no idea how you/they would arrive at a date of 1977-01
