    Conditional Formatting Conundrum

    Hi All,

I don't know if this can actually be done but here goes! In the attached spreadsheet, C5 contains a drop-down list of categories taken from the range L5:L10 using data validation. C5 is set to display the first option in the list. Is it possible to conditionally format C5 in such a way that if B5 is blank, C5 is displayed as white text (effectively making the cell look blank), and when some text or data is inserted into B5, the text colour reverts back to Automatic and also apply this kind of conditional formatting to say C5 down to C100?

I'd be grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks in advance.
