Work Schedule - 24/7 - 4 shifts per day, 6 people

Hello,

I am having great difficulty coming up with a schedule.

Here is what we need:

• Day1 - 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Afternoon1 - 3:30pm-12:30am
• Backshift1 - 11:30pm - 8:30am
• Day 2 - 7:30am - 4:30pm

Day1, Afternoon1 and Backshift 1 are needed 7 days a week, but Day2 is needed only Monday to Friday.

We have 6 people to cover all shifts!

Any help would be appreciated!!

What are the objectives of your schedule other than to man these hours? You have a total of 234 man-hours to cover with six people. Are you trying to avoid paying anyone overtime past 40 hours? What else?

I want to give all employees an even amount of hours (or as even as possible). I want to avoid anyone going over 48 hours in a week. No employee working more than 6 days in a row.

In an idea world the schedule would be a rotation of 5 days on, 3 days off, except after working the backshift they would get 4 days off. However I have not been able to come up with a schedule that works for that so I am open to variations.

I can't think of any way to do that without having a couple shift jumpers per week... and thinking about how to do that is giving me a headache (

Perhaps someone else has a way...
