conditional formating to make a cell blank once the date inside the cell becomes history

I have cells that populate dates 48 hours after the admission of a patient. you can see an example under the Sequoia tab cell ad42 and ad43. ad42 is the date 48 hours after the patient has been admitted, and ad43 is the time that the patient was admitted. if I get a patient in right now 4/13 at 1724 they will show 4/15 and 1724. This lets the nurses know at a glance how long the patient has to have a certain treatment. I was hoping that I could use conditional formating to clear ad42 and ad43 once real time passes them, which in this case would be 4/15 at 1725. This way the blank box would tell the nurse that the required 48 hour treatment is no longer needed on that patient. I am afraid this will require VBA, but I would like to avoid it as I will not be the only one to administrate this in the future. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

also, I just noticed I still get an error when I open this workbook up. it says there are links to other workbooks. I cannot find them, and I do not want them. For now I just shut them off in the startup prompts. Is there a better way to do this?
