My questions.
How do I display a customer's incoming (columns A-J) and outgoing details (L-R) separately in either columns T-W or a separate sheet altogether? I want the sheet to automatically pull in the data of a specific customer when I change the name in cell U2.
The background:
I'm trying to build a warehousing worksheet in excel for my father's cold storage. Need some help in solving a complex problem. I will state the problem I'm trying to solve, share my workbook and then invite your valuable feedback and help.
Problem: We have a cold storage where hundreds of small fruit and vegetable traders come and store their produce during the harvesting season for 4-6 months. At the moment, all the accounting is done manually but it gets very tedious to keep track of customers, their lots and where their lots are stored in the warehouse, after months.
Solution: I want to create an excel sheet which helps the warehouse manager know exactly what is coming, going, and stored inside. After days, I have simplified the process to the following data:
1. Incoming: customer, quantity, date, lot no, location, product
2. Outgoing: customer, quantity, date, lot no, location, product
3. Account: Each Customer's incoming and outgoing data separated product wise and lot wise.
I have solved part of the puzzle - but remaining needs to be solved.
