Competitors Price Comparison Other Methods they May Use

Hello. I am trying to put together an excel sheet of my competitor prices vs my prices using the competitors price and then the wholesale cost of the product to see what their markup is. I am not finding a pattern with the type per this dollar amount markup this %. Is there any other formula's they can be using? Anything else I am not thinking of to get their exact markup strategies with excel? I have attached a spreadsheet.

That gives me =(RETAIL-WHOLESALE)/RETAIL but the results are not the markup from the wholesale price... I just can't find the competitors markup from the wholesale price...

The formula that you are currently using is probably correct. What you don't know is what the real wholesale cost is to the competitor as volume of product and contract arrangements could vastly affect the wholesale price as compared to what you are paying. I am assuming that all the data that you have provided is for different products. If that is the case, the business model of your competitor might be to maximize profit on certain items while using other products with little markup or even a loss as bait to get business.
