    Indirect to include row/column match

    Hi all

I was helped with a formula previously which incorporated indirect which works fine however my spreadsheet has evolved and I have a new requirement…

Is there any way in which Indirect can include an index/match?

Ideally I would like an index/match formula which would identify the row/column to use.

On the attached example I would like the following matches:

    Sheet: Cells E6 and F6
Column: “Walk Tab” cells E3 and F3 with “Actual or Budget” sheets, row 3
Row: “Walk Tab” column D with “Actual or Budget” sheets, column G

Re: Indirect to include row/column match

    Hi,

I have tested this and it works great for the actual and budget sheets.

Something odd though. When I copy either of the “actual” or “budget” sheets and rename it “Q1 Forecast” then it no longer works.

It works perfectly for Actual and Budget still but not Q1 Forecast, why is this?

I am sorry because I forget the case that your sheet name contains space character. Try this, please see attachment file again.

It's because there's a space in the sheet name. Either remove it, or use sunflowers' modified formula..
