Look up file names and cells within file

I am not sure if this is possible but I would like to input a unique reference in cell D4 which will then VLOOKUP? / IF? / MATCH? and display data held in seperate excel files which will have the same unique reference as their file name. The information contained within these files will then display in cells D6:D9.
