Staff rota timeslot data - Rota time entry convert to timeslots

Hi all,



I'm trying to analyse some data for my business to try and make sure all the staff are in the right place at the right time. Iv attached a file that shows the staff rota.



To make it easier for me to capture the data from the rota I need to know how many people are working a particular time slot. In the attachment is an example of the outcome I'm trying to achieve. The rota has its own separate formulas for adding up time which is fine and all works well.



To summarise:



If staff member works 11:00 - 16:00, on the rota grid page I need it to enter 1 in each time slot between 11:00 and 16:00 and so on for each staff member. The rota grid tab only shows 1 day (Sunday) so I know this would need to be repeated to allow each day to have its own analysis.

That works great, how ever its missing one small ability....

Where as in the first example Karl is working 11:00-16:00, I cant seem to amend the formula to then count it, if Karl was then to work 17:00 - 23:00.

I dont' understand which is not working

In the example, where Karl is working 11:00-16:00 this is just the first part of the shift. In Cells C5 & C6 if you enter a second shift such as 17:00-23:00 then this second time shift does not move across into the grid tab. It appears this is not accounted for in the formula.

Wow, amazing, thankyou so much! One final question regarding this....

Iv copied the cells across for each day of the week. Which part of the formula do I need to change so that when I enter shifts into Tuesday part of the rota they go into Tuesday cell for example?

Im make cell reference to cell B1 (merged cell) that have day "Sunday", just change it to others day.......

Im sorry Azumi but i cant seem to get it to work? I haver attached the latest file i have been working from but when i drag the box accross it doesnt seem to change toany of the other days. If you could help i would be most greatful.

It did work, but only for 1 employee - Karl, but not for other employees. I don't seem to have the knowledge to fix it. Thank you for your efforts
