Conditional Formatting based on date content

Looking for some assistance on a small issue....

Got a sheet which is literally based around expected delivery dates and then actual delivery dates

Column B1 contains an expected delivery date of an item
Column C1 contains the actual delivery date of the item

I am looking to change the formatting of C1 based on if the date that appears in C1 is one or more days over the expected delivery date. If it is one day over the cell is orange, if it is two days over then it is red

I have been through a number of options in conditional formatting but nothing delivers based on the multiple rules I have specified. Nobody in the immediate team has the excel knowledge necessary so am looking for some input to get me back on track
