problem referencing a cell with conditional formatting

    Hello,
I'm using Office 2010. I'm using conditional formatting on a sheet called Team Rankings Trending. The formatting tells me if an employee got better, worse, or stayed the same as compared to the prior month. I use a green up arrow, a red down arrow, and a yellow bar respectively to show this. On this sheet it works fine. I am referencing the same cells on two other sheets in the same workbook and on one of them All Teams rankings it appears to reference correctly but on another sheet Rankings when I reference the same cell it returns a green up arrow instead of a yellow bar. I don't understand why.

I've tried repeatedly over the last month to upload the file and it will not upload. Is there a problem with the website?

Thanks in advance for any help

Re: problem referencing a cell with conditional formatting

This site only allows uploading of files under a certain size (which I don't know off hand what size), so if the file is larger than that size, it will not upload. It may going be difficult to get help on this without a sample file to work with.

Re: problem referencing a cell with conditional formatting

Thank you for the quick reply GMR, my file size is about 640kb. I figured out the issue. The conditionally formatting is on a field with a divided by zero error. That's because the fields are blank. When I add data all three examples resolve themselves so Im just going to ignore it for now knowing that it will true up in a couple of weeks when I enter data

    Thanks again for your help
