Mac converting excel cell formats from general format to date format

    Hello,

I have created a pricing model using office 2013 (windows) and saved as Microsoft Excel Macro-Enabled Worksheet and it works great. I have it accessible on sharepoint and a few of my coworkers have used the bid calculator using a Mac via Amazon Workspaces which is actually a window based VM (not using excel for mac sw). Every time they update the pricing model it converts all general cell formatting to date formatting and it blows up the entire price model. Has anyone had this problem and if so is there a fix?

Your comments/advise would be much appreciated.

    Mark R.

Yikes. Can you not allow them to modify the pricing model, and instead allow them to update a data workbook that is then reported on in the model? That way they can update whatever workbook needs updating but then they cant modify the reporting piece.

Good idea but unfortunately the users need to manipulate the price model in order to accomplish their profit goals.
