    how can I remove the apostrophe (') in Excel cell text values

    Hi,

    I have an Excel sheet, that is I want to compare with another sheet but to apostrophe its giving the error.
    Please help me to find out the formula for remove the apostrophe from the cell text value in Excel.

    as oeldere noted, a sample can go a long way to getting help. However, one formula that might help is =SUBSTITUTE(A1,"'","",1) and that will find ONE instance of the apostrophe and replace it with nothing.

    How can I use the same formula along with Vlookup function as I want to retrieve the entries from one sheet to another sheet.

    Please attach a sample workbook. Then we can see what you're talking about!!
