Confounding - Show Formulas becomes active when I click Exit icon

Hi all,

For some reason, I can save my Excel 2010 wonderfully (via save icon or File-Save), then when I go to Exit Excel by clicking the uppermost right [X] my spreadsheet suddenly changes, [Show Formulas] becomes active, and all the cell results change to formulas, and then it asks me if I want to save the changes!!!!!

Obviously I don't want this to happen when I close, but cannot find out why it's triggering [Show formulas] to become active!!!

It is only this one particular spreadsheet - all my other spreadsheets behave like good little puppies!

Anyone got a fix for this?

AHA! Not a macro, but this code:

But... this phenomenon didn't happen three hours ago...
I commented out those lines, and all seems well again, but I'd like those lines in there on BeforeClose if possible...

Hi Pete,

A 'macro' is just another name for a Visual Basic Code procedure - but no matter.

Slightly puzzled by your statement that you'd like 'those lines in there' which seems contrary to the point you are asking about.
Unless of course it's just the 1st & 3rd line of code that you want - in which case just delete the .DisplayFormulas line
