    linest function help

Hallo my babies. I'm using this functon =LINEST(C4:C9,B4:B9,,TRUE) but as an array. Why do I need to use it as an array and how do I make the array work over a "box" of cells. In the example, it's 5 by 2. Danks

    Re: linest function help

Why do I need to use it as an array
I hesitate to respond, because the answer seems so obvious. The LINEST() function returns an array of multiple values [m,b;sem, seb;and so on], so it must be used as an array.

To "make the array work over a "box" of cells", select the desired output range, type the function, then confirm with ctrl-shift-enter.
