Calculating time HELP!

Hi Guru’s,

I’m needed help calculating time. I’m unsure if the format I’ve used is correct.

I need to calculate time used with clients, and record down to 5 minute intervals.

To do this, I’ve converted time to a decimal, i.e: 5mins = 0.8, 10min = 0.17. The time conversion is found on the second tab.

So, I’ve done a test column (highlighted orange) and the total amount doesn’t look correct to me. I'm unable to see what this would in total time? If this is the correct time, what would it be in HH:MM?

Some totals, may need to be over 24hrs in total time billed.

How can I input time in the yellow columns and calculate this correctly to show the total time staff have used?

The boxes in GREEN are highlighted as these all need to be total time.
The highlighted yellow columns are TIME.
The row highlighted in ORANGE is a test column.

You have three columns as 0.8 instead of 0.008

What I think you've done is to express minutes in number of hours. 0.67 under Face to Face represents 0.67 x 60 = ~40 minutes hence the total time of 2.13 is in hours, i.e. 2hrs and 7-ish minutes. or 02:07

As to how you should do it, it's really up to how you want to use that information. I.e., what do you want to see the total time to be? in Minutes? Hours? both?
