Function syntax guides not appearing when typing formulas

    Hi all,

I'm using Office 2007 and my question relates to formulas created in Excel.
I really cannot recall this, as I don't use Excel much on my home PC (and I use Excel 2013 at work, lots), but, when I want to type a formula, it is not displaying the syntax guide/assistant (or whatever you call it).

For example, if I type "=AVERAGE(" I don't get the little pop-up that guides me through the formula. 'AVERAGE(number1, [number2], ...)' is what I'm talking about, and it automatically bolds the relevant bit as I type. It doesn't pop up, so, I'm pretty much guessing if I have the syntax correct or not.

I have tried reinstalling Office to no avail. Maybe 2007 doesn't have this feature, but I'm pretty sure it did before.

    Can anyone confirm this please?

    Thanks!
    Jason.

Awesome. Thank you so much Deep Dave. Simple as that hey?!
I wonder why it's not enabled as default? That's really strange.
