undesired change some data after copy and past to excel

    Hi all,

I faced with a basic issue that makes crazy. I'm trying to copy a very large data from notepad into excel, one of data colmuns is like:

    1/0
    2/0
    -2/0
    -3/0
    .
    .
    .
But after pasting data in the excel, the contents of this column was changed as here:

    Mar-00
    #DIV/0!
    Jan-00
    #DIV/0!
    Jan-00

Please help me out to solve the problem. Many thanks in advance

    you could try:

change the cell setting in general
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Excel will attempt to convert numeric text into numbers....UNLESS you pre-format the destination range as text.

    • Select the destination range or column
    • Home.Number_section....Select: Text from the dropdown

    Then, Home.Paste.Paste_Special.Text

Is that something you can work with?
