    Almost a Complete Newbie with Excel

    Many eons ago I used Lotus 123. Haven't used a spreadsheet since.

    I would like to insert a line break (<br /> followed by "Alt Enter" in a cell.
    This is in an Excel 2013 spread sheet that will be sent to a hosting company that will upload the data onto our website.
    The cell has a defined character length.

    I would like to create a macro that would allow me, with a 2 or 3 key combination, insert the above string.

    I tried to figure out Visual Basic with no luck.

    Any help would be welcome.
