    Index+Match+Match doesnt returns right values

    Hi All,
Hope you are doing well. I am trying to match values which are in supporting table into the main data base. I am using Index match match formula, but something is wrong. While some of the values are ok, others are not.
Probably, something is wrong with the formula - but I can not figure it out...
    Please helppp....

The two MATCH functions were in the wrong order, that was all... Row MATCH followed by column MATCH is the correct order.

=INDEX($O$4:$S$8,MATCH($C4,$N$4:$N$8,0),MATCH($A4,$O$2:$S$2,0)) in E4, dragged across and down.

Glenn many thanks for your quick replay.
I realize that the only difference between your formula and my is that you change the position of the two matches formula. Why is this important to have matches in different position???

Cheers and thanks for your help in advance

As I said (but maybe not clearly enough!!) is the format of INDEX used is:

INDEX (Array, Row number, Column number). You had it looking for the column number, when it was expecting you to look for the row number, and had it looking for the row number, when it was expecting you to look for the column number .

    Hi Glenn
    Thanks again for your answer.
It is clear to me the position of row and column. However, something is still going wrong when I come to the real file I need to work on.
Can you have a look at the attached file (its still is a dummy, but closer to my reality). What is going wrong here ???
The area I want to match is marked in Yellow
