Advanced Prep Schedule for a Movie with changing Start dates

    Dear Experts,
here is what I want to do:
    (Or try to)
    :-)

I'm working on a prep Schedule and I want to automate it a bit.

    1.)The easiest thing first:

I want to choose a start date and then automatically will in the series from J13 ->

2.) I to tell Excel that my Work days start an (in this example) 31.8.2015 and it then automatically jumps to this position and fills out the series. In a ideal world it recognize the weekends.. But I don't know if that is possible
If that is like a totally unrealistic thing to to I can fill it out by hand as well.

    BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY

    3.)
I wonder if it is possible, that I fill in my (Shooting)-Day and besides that My scene name and it will automatically be transferred to the right column where the Shooting day is...?????
This is very important, as in my profession the shooting days change all the time and it takes forever to do the changes by simply copying all the cells around...
Is there a way to do that..?
It could also be by targeting the date in "10" Row.....???

Also I know you could simply make a BN6 = C47. But this will not target the Shooting day..
Also It would be nice if the formatting could be transferred also. BN6 = Orange C4 = Orange

What I want to accomplish is, that if f.ex. the whole shooting period is being postponed I do not need to copy everything by hand again.
Or if the Shooting days of the sets change I do only need to change the day before the set.

I hope this makes any sense

    Thank you for your help!!!

Why don't you post a sample of your spreadsheet, it's a bit difficult to edit a picture ?

Remove any sensitive data. Click 'Go Advanced 'Manage Attachments and follow the pop up window to upload your file.

Take a look at this sample I have mocked up using your original schedule.

You can change the start date anytime (in cell C12) but maintain the schedule settings to reflect the new dates.

PS. If you decide to use my sheet and / or require more help, I want to be an extra in the movie with all expenses paid

    Hey BlindAlley,
    thanks for the Sample.
It's not quite what I was looking for.

I will try to work on it, and post the result here.

    thanks!

    Wizard,

    No worries.

My sample was only a point in the direction of the required formulas required to change a date and keep your 'Set Days' schedule intact, as you can see when you change your start date.
