Share a worksheet on a LAN

I understand I can share the workbook with other users on my LAN but I am trying to share a single Worksheet with a specific person on my LAN.
I.E. I have a Workbook with 5 worksheets. WS 1 thru 5. I want to allow User 1 to access Worksheet 1 and be able to update it. User 2 can access Worksheet 2 and update it. And so on. After everyone has updated their individual worksheets I will print or email the entire workbook.

    Thank you for any suggestions

Depends a bit how you wish to do it for instance you can set a specific password on every sheet

Although it might depend on your version of Excel (I tested in 2007), just right-click the tab and select "Protect Sheet". You can set a password for each sheet seperately.

A user will just go to the Review tab in the ribbon and select "Unprotect sheet" and enter the password.

You really want to avoid setting passwords via VBA since it's really easy to go into the code to find the password.
so the other user can see sheets 1 to 5 but only user 1 have the password and he is the one that can make changes to sheet 1.

Or all sheets could be hidden with vba and you only have a log-on sheet where a specific password opends up a specific sheet.

Problem with shared workbooks is that if one does editing that workbook is "locked" for the other users.

I would suggest you have one workbook with one sheet for each of the 5 co-workers and they mail it to you then you combine this to the master file.

Thank you for the response. I was not aware one user making changes to a worksheet would lock everyone else out from making changes on their worksheet.
A google docs approach may be more of what I need here. Adding passwords to the specific sheets would then restrict the use by the wrong person.
    THank you so much.
