Indirect Syntax

I have really enjoyed getting to know Indirect. From one sheet to a different sheet in a workbook this has made year over year changes much faster! But can I use indirect to look up data from a different workbook? Generally speaking is there a set of rules to follow with Indirect? What gets "", & or () and what the best way write out:

Indirect(filename&tabname&column&row)

If the filename and tab are fixed is that easier?

Any advise much appreciated.

The file in question has to be open. In the case it is, try doing it manually and see observe the way it is written: Just put the non-changing parts in " " and adapt accordingly.
