    Question needing to sort or group

    Good morning..

    Im banging my head on the desk.. and just need a lil direction perhaps on how to best tackle an issue

    I scan in to an excel sheet two barcodes one is for a item number and the second is a tracking number that must be associated with that item.

    how can I sort or group all the same item numbers and their associated tracking numbers to perhaps a diff sheet in the work book or to a different places on the same work sheet.

    for example.. I need to keep all the tracking numbers for each variant of the 3000XXX part number together.,

    One way to do this could be accomplished with an array formula. See the attached workbook for an example.

    From what I see and understand of your problem, none of your data match the criteria that you give.

    Please upload a workbook with example data that shows what is and isn't a match.

    Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

    Hi Kevin,

    If you had the Item number and the Tracking number in the same row, you could deal with them a lot easier. See the attached where a single formula in C2 of:

    =INDEX($A:$A,(ROW()-2)*2 + COLUMNS($C:C)+1)

    Pulled to the right and down can do this. See the attached.
