Conditional Formatting Question - please help! thank you in advance

    Hi there,

I have some experience with conditional formatting but can't seem to figure this one out. I have a table of data and I would like to gray out certain cells based off the value in a different cell. I've attached a spreadsheet as an example.

If an individual does NOT have access (column A = No) then columns B, C, D and E will turn to gray.

How do I set up this condition and then apply it to the entire table?

Please let me know if there's additional info i can provide. Greatly appreciate all the excel wizards on here and how helpful you guys are!

    in conditional formatting:

Cell Value > equal to > No

    choose applicable formatting

then in applies to field type =$A:$E

Re: Conditional Formatting Question - please help! thank you in advance

i took a different approach and this is what i've been able to do:
selected B2 cell and went to conditional formatting > selected Use a Formula to determine which cell to format > formula: A2="No" > selected format (grey fill) > applies to field: entire b column

when i do this, the condition is set for the entire column so any rows that have "No" the grey cell appears in the B column, however, i'm trying to avoid having to do this for each and every column because there are over 20 columns.

    Any suggestions??

Select entire columns B to E and then use the CF formula:
