    Price automated change on selected item

    excel.jpg

    Hi,

    Attached screenshot on above is referred;

    How to make the Cell on G column automatic change after item being selected on E column? The price is fixed for each item and in same time to lock (uneditable) the cell on G column.

    Your kind help in this regard is highly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Re: Price automated change on selected item

    Hi,

    Step 1: Create a list for item and price
    Step 2: Create dependent cascade dropdown on Column E
    Step 3: Use VLOOKUP and update the price as per list
    Step 4: Protect the Formula cells - Please see the below details
    1. select the cells that contain formula
    2. Go to Home tab > Editing > Find & Select > Formulas
    3. Go to Data tab > Data Validation
    4. Settings > Allow > Custom & Formula > =””. Select Ok.

    Now you try to edit the formula cell, it will not update the new entry and thrown error message.

    Hope this helps. Thanks
