Post Excel Macro Email Notication on edit

I am new to Excel Macro’s and I am trying to find a macro that will silently send an email notification to a specific admin when a specific column is updated.

    For instance:

If Column A is updated email [email protected]
If Column B is updated email [email protected]

Can anyone point me in a direction?

    Chuck

Re: Excel Macro Email Notication on edit

I am trying to do something similar to this, however will it only work using Outlook? My agency uses gmail or mozilla thunderbird for email. I have a feeling I might be SOL. Also, does it email as soon as the field is edited or after the file is saved. I'd like to email once the file is saved with any additions made to column A or B.

I also forgot to mention that I have 2 sheets that I want email notifications to fire if column A or B on either sheet is edited. How would you code that? Sorry I'm extremely new to VBA.

    TIA
