    Question FIFO Roster

    HI,

is there someone that can assist me with a spreadsheet to do a R & R roster for workers. we normally work 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off. i need a sheet that you can fill in the start date and the amount of days to be worked and it will then calculate the next due date.

    thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum.

It would be much better if you attached a workbook that showed your problem and what you expect as a result.

    Here are directions:

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    Jan,

    Fully agree with Newdoverman.
    However, see attached.
Without seeing what you are working with and what you expect the results to be, anyone (me included) can only guess what you want it to look like.
    Key:
    Column A - Employee names
Column B - Start date (date is the start of that week, presuming the week starts on a monday)
Range in ORANGE - All week start dates from 2015-2016 - Assuming each week starts on a monday
Range in BLACK (with white text) - shows end of the weeks date
Range in BLUE - 8 on, 2 off (relating to your point of 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off)
Range in RED - Shows work days from the start of the 1st 'ON' week to the end of the last 'ON' week - it already excludes the holidays
Range in PURPLE (with white text) - shows total amount of days between start and end of 8 week period
Range in GREEN - list of all holidays (obviously change it to your countries set holidays)

See if that does anything like what you are after
