Issue with Name Manager

Hello,

Am facing problems with name manager when I copy the Sheets.

Am using names to create chart. I have a database and in other sheet I fetch data I require and create charts. Data points are different for each query fetched so I have used name manager to create charts. Now I copied this sheet multiple time but when I fetch data in copied sheets the name manager seems not to function.

Am Not sure if am clear with the question. But if you understand pls reply.

I would like to explain my requirement again.

I have a database sheet named "Consolidated data", and other sheet named "MasterSummary" where I fetch data with respect to the project using drop down list and create chart based on the data points available in that particular project. I have created Chart in the MasterSummary Sheet using Names which takes reference from the MasterSummary Sheet. Now when I change project names from the dropdown I get charts as required, as in if I have 4 data points in the project I get 4 column in the chart and if there are 3 data point in the project I get 3 columns in the chart. Working perfectly well.

Now I copy this MasterSummary Sheet and create project wise sheets. When I create a copy of MasterSummary for project wise sheets, Names too get copied to my knowledge. But for charts in the project wise sheets, when I goto select data in charts, I see that it doesnot incorporate names but used fixed references of columns from project wise sheet thus showing incomplete result.

I have explained it to the best I can, but if anymore clarification is required pls write. If anyone has the answer please explain how do I overcome this problem and where am I going wrong.
