Macro VBA - Populating USERNAME at DATA entry

Hi Guys,

May I request your help regarding the below question please?

Would you know a formula or a part of Macro code which is giving the Windows Username of the last person who modified or entered a given cell?

Also I want that cell to be frozen a part from the moment the data is entered or modified and not that the name get updated with the next worksheet calculation,

Has anyone some expertise on that ?

This will give you the username

environ("UserName")

But I dont know how to get the name of the last person who modified.. Maybe someone else can help..

I think it may not be possible (I may be wrong), coz how would windows know who is accessing the file physically.

All it can know is the windows username, or the author of the workbook..

I think its better go with Track Changes Under Review tab and Changes rather than making it with Macro.

If this become complex let's say that I would like to only reflect the Windows username of the person which filled in the cell and that this info become frozen and get not updated with the next workbook calculation,
