I'm creating a master spreadsheet that is to pull information from numerous files. However, these files are created and deleted after time, with a slightly differing filename for each. I want to input the changing part of the filename into the master spreadsheet. Can I have VLOOKUP take the changing part of the filename from the master spreadsheet and insert it to the point in the formula where it is needed? Or is there something that can be done so each new formula doesn't need to be linked to each new file as it is created? All the files that need data taken from them are in the same folder(If this helps).
Also, is it possible to have the data in the master spreadhseet saved at a certain time each day, so the progression over time of the data can be viewed.
Basically need the spreadsheet to read files and save the data from them each day automatically so they can be viewed as and when is required.
